Yes, would you believe it, I take photos for fun as well as trying my utmost to keep clients happy throughout the year. It’s nice to get away from deadlines for a change and this year is no exception. Early on I’m off to New York where I’ll bet trying to capture a few unusual architectural images. This is no mean feat with a wife in tow but to see what’s possible with a compact camera on your travels and a wife click here.
In June, I’m going to be touring the Lake district for a few days in the hope of honing my landscape skills. Purely a photography trip, I’ll be leaving my wife at home for this one and hopefully will return with some inspiring pictures. Here’s hoping for some nice stormy weather (nothing better for dramatic landscapes). To see what I’ve been up to with landscapes in my leisure time, click here.
Finally, I’ll be visiting the beautiful Adriatic city of Dubrovnik, apparently a photographers paradise, but will I be able to get images of Dubrovnik without the thousands of tourists? time will tell although I suspect a few early morning starts for this one. It’ll be interesting to see what I can up with armed with my Nikon P7800 compact and a lightweight tripod. As I’m always saying to clients during commercial shoots, nothing drives me on more than a challenge. The only difference here is I’ll do it in my own time and without the pressures of deadlines. Other than that, check out my occasional tweets and facebook uploads for more interesting images throughout the coming year. Have a look back here for further updates on my 2015 trips. I look forward to seeing many of you during the year.
Have a great 2015
